Remember the dreaded all-weather jumps? They were happening at Southwell on this day in 1991. Ironically, proper jumping also took place at Wolverhampton, which is now a dog track for horses. How time changes things. Not always for the better!

Steve Bradley is the man behind this project, an unashamedly nostalgic website dedicated to horse racing’s golden days of the past, featuring vintage racecards, clippings and news stories plucked from the newspapers of the day.
